Mean species abundance (MSA) predictions across tiger range

These data are predictions of relative Mean Species Abundances (MSA) in the tiger's current range. Detailed description of how the data were created is available in the publication "Road development in Asia: assessing the range-wide risks to tigers." The relative MSA values predict the impact of infrastructure on mean species abundance of mammal species in areas near roads compared to areas far from roads (control areas) for regions relevant to tigers. Because fine-scale spatial data on abundances of tigers and their prey across gradients of road densities do not exist, we used MSA as a proxy estimate of road impact on the abundances of tigers and their prey. These data were projected into Asia north azimuthal equidistant projection.
