Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) is one of the most important food crops worldwide. However, it is strongly affected by salt stress. The precise molecular mechanisms of salt stress response in potato are not very well understood. The tetraploid potato genotype Longshu No. 5 has been verified to be highly tolerant to salt stress. Here, a time-course RNA-sequencing experiment was performed to identify salt stress response genes in Longshu No. 5 under NaCl-induced stress.
