Raman spectra from graphites of the Bohemian Massif

This data publication provides Raman spectra collected from 87 graphite and metasediment samples from 37 locations of the Bohemian Massif (Austria, Czech Republic, Germany), including the methodical metadata. The samples derive from abandoned mines, field outcrops, and collections of GeoSphere Austria and the Natural History Museum Vienna. The data set describes the micro-structural state of the investigated carbonaceous material, which is dependent on the metamorphic grade of the host rocks. Consequently, the data set assesses also the metamorphic pattern of the covered study area. A subset of this data publication was already published to describe the thermometrical approach. It is applied on the provided data set and presented in this publication. This data publication enables the use of spectral data from an economically important and critical commodity from locations which are nowadays hardly or even not accessible for further research.
