VPRS 9821 Papers of John Johnson, Assistant General Manager (Development)

This series comprises files, slides, photographs and copies of presentations on a range of topics made by Mr John Johnson, the Assistant General Manager (Development) of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria from c. 1971 to c.1981.The files contain inward and outward correspondence concerning the arrangements for the Annual General Meeting of the Australian National Committee (ANC) of CIGRE (an international conference on Large Electric Systems). The central committee of CIGRE, based in Paris, was established in 1917 to encourage international exchange of information and studies on large electrical systems. As Mr Johnson was appointed as a representative to the ANC, he attended the Annual General Meeting in New South Wales in 1980 and also attended the Annual General Meeting in Paris in the same year. Copies of the minutes of each of these meetings are contained within the relevant files.
