The emergence of resistance in Staphylococcus aureus is one of the most important public health problems in the world. We obtained a series of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) isolates from a patient with prosthetic blood vessel infection who was treated with rifampicin (RIF), vancomycin (VCM) and daptomycin (DAP) without success. The aim of this study was to detect the resistance genes for VCM and DAP by tracking the mutations in these strains using Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS).
