Methane emission and environmental factor data from Dongting Lake floodplain wetlands

This dataset contains field and laboratory measurements from periodically flooded wetlands in the Dongting Lake area, aiming to explore the effects of inundation duration on soil physicochemical properties, soil pore water geochemistry, microbial community characteristics, and methane emission potential. The dataset includes, porosity, soil pore water geochemical parameters, microbial community composition, and methane production potential under different flooding regimes. All data were collected under standardized experimental procedures and can be used to support studies on soil biogeochemical cycling, microbial ecology, and greenhouse gas emissions in floodplain wetlands.
