Agricultural Managements Alerting the Transfer of Resistomes among Soil-Bayberry-Fruit Fly Food Chain in the Orchard Ecosystem

In this study, we characterized the bacteria and fungi communities and differentiated both antibiotic resistomes and virulence factor genes (VFGs) in the soil, Chinese bayberry (mature and fallen), and fruit fly gut, collecting from five geographic locations. The total abundances of ARGs in soil and fly guts were significantly higher than in bayberry, such as aminoglycoside and beta-lactamase predominated in the fly guts.
