The working electrode was prepared by firstly mixing the as-synthesized carbon materials, acetylene black and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) using a mass ratio of 80/10/10 in ethanol, then the slurry was coated on a round nickel foam (D=1.0 cm) and pressed at a pressure of 10 MPa for 30s to form working electrode followed by drying at 100 oC for 12 h in an oven. The mass loading of active material was 4.0 mg and the surface loading was 5.1 mg cm-2. 6M KOH aqueous solution was selected as electrolytes. In three-electrode system, the Hg/HgO electrode and Pt plate were used as reference electrode and counter electrode, respectively.
