American Legislator Survey 2023

This survey is part of the DFG-funded research project “Conceptions of Democracy among Political Elites and Citizens“, which aims to compare citizens and legislators in Germany and the United States regarding differing attitudes towards and conceptions of democracy. After conducting a similar survey of German legislators in 2022, this survey aimed to explore the conceptions of democracy and other relevant attitudes, such as procedural preferences, among US legislators on the state level. The survey was conducted in 2023.
