Der Text setzt sich mit Coaching als Beratungsform vor dem Hintergrund differenzieller Beratungsverständnisse auseinander. Er weist Probleme für eine sozialwissenschaftliches Coaching-Verständnis auf und weist auf ethische Konfliktbereiche hin. Der Frage nach einem modernen theoriegegründeten Altruismusverständnis, das für Coaching Passung haben könnte, wird auf dem Boden sozialpsychologischer, evolutionstheoretischer und philosophischer Altruismuskonzepte nachgegangen. Die Position des Integrativen Ansatzes wird dargestellt. This text is dealing with Coaching as a form of counselling on the ground of a differential understanding of counselling theory. It is pointing to problems arising for a social scientific conceptualisation of Coaching including ethical areas of conflict. The question is discussed which modern understanding of altruism might fit Coaching drawing from concepts of altruism in social psychology, theory of evolution and philosophy.
