ANALYSIS OF THE RESULTS OF AN EMPIRICAL STUDY OF THE PSYCHOLOGICAL READINESS OF FUTURE JOURNALISTS

The article examines the psychological characteristics of the professional training of future journalists. The results of an empirical study of the psychological readiness of Journalism students at Karakalpak State University for professional activity are presented. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of communicative, emotional-empathic, cognitive-creative, and adaptive-stress characteristics of students’ personalities. The study employed a set of psychodiagnostic methods that made it possible to identify the level of development of professionally significant qualities of future journalists. It was established that targeted psychological and pedagogical intervention contributes to the improvement of communicative abilities, stress resistance, empathy, and originality of students’ thinking. The obtained results confirm the necessity of introducing comprehensive developmental technologies into the system of professional training of journalists.
