Global land surface temperature thematic climate dataset for 2008 - 2019 based on FY-3 VIRR radiometric recalibration data

This dataset has significantly improved the accuracy and consistency of historical Land Surface Temperature data from China's Fengyun-3 satellite series. To address past inconsistencies, researchers developed a new, unified processing algorithm. This effort has produced a refined, high-quality global climate dataset from 2008 to 2019. The updated data shows a major boost in accuracy compared to the in-situ measurements and aligns well with MODIS data. This long-term dataset is crucial to accurately monitor land-surface changes and global climate trends research. The dataset are stored in HDF format at 0.05° spatial resolution, organized by satellite (FY-3A/B/C), and further subdivided by year, month, and day in directories.
