Evaluation of foam glass aggregates as a new material for thermal stabilization of transportation infrastructure built on permafrost

Soil temperature from a small-scale simulated road embankment. The experiment was conducted in a controlled-temperature room, and the embankment was divided into two sections: one constructed with foam glass aggregates and the other with MG-20b, representing a conventional embankment. Temperature data were measured vertically from the top to the bottom of the material at three different locations: the center and both sides of each embankment.
