LKNames Dataset: the names of all Linux kernel active participants
收藏资源简介:
Dataset accompanying the paper Female Participation in the Linux Kernel: A Perspective from Mailing Lists and Patches (under double-blind review; authors withheld). For each of the 141,171 active participants of the 350 Linux Kernel mailing lists in LKML5Ws (29.4 million emails, 1996–2026), that is, those who replied, received replies or were credited in git trailers by someone else, it gives the gender inferred from the name by three classifiers (Llama 3.2 3B, DeepSeek-R1-Distill-Qwen-7B and gender-guesser) and the activity per list and year. Identities are replaced by SHA-1 hashes with the same method as the anonymized LKML5Ws release, so the two datasets can be joined. See README.md for the column reference, usage examples and responsible-use notes. Gender is inferred, binary and probabilistic, not self-identified; use it only for aggregate analyses.
