资源简介:
Bio-fertilizers are beneficial microbes which form a symbiotic and non-symbiotic association with the host plants and naturally present in the soils. Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhizal (VAM) fungi are one kind of bio-fertilizers increase the absorption area of the plant roots so that more nutrients can be absorbed by the plants and also help to absorb phosphorus, and micronutrients from the soil, also act as bio-control agents against soil borne pathogens & parasitic nematodes and protect the host plants. The NeuGen Biologicals Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore, India has been collecting maize and other crops rhizosphere soils to identify and characterize VAM fungi diversity in different rhizosphere soils. Through in-depth study of VAM fungal species, NeuGen has developed several VAM bio-fertilizer products as Induvial or Consortia and demonstrated the application of these VAM bio-fertilizer products to the soils and plants has a long-term beneficial effect as they improve the soil health & fertility, control crop pests and diseases, better plant growth and yield and over a period of time making the agriculture land more productive and sustainable cultivation.
