资源简介:
The brilliant-thighed poison frog (Allobates femoralis) is found throughout the Amazon basin including regions of Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia. It is an important comparative species among poison frogs as it is cryptically colored and lacks chemical defenses. This species displays similar life history traits to other dendrobatid poison frogs, including parental care, courtship, and spatial navigation. This sample is from a male bred in captivity in Ecuador by Wikiri, and was collected and coordinated by Lauren O'Connell to generate a high-quality reference genome for projects relating to spatial navigation, development of functional genetic tools in poison frogs, and juvenile aggression. Sequencing and genome assembly were conducted by Dovetail Genomics in Santa Cruz, California.
