Biofilm reassociation 16S

To assess whether the protumorigenic biofilm-positive associated microbiota is transmissible, colon tissue-associated microbes from the initial biofilm-negative normal and biofilm-positive tumor associated ApcMin/+;Il10-/- mice were extracted and transplanted into a new cohort of GF ApcMin/+;Il10-/- mice. These mice were housed in a germ-free isolator for the duration of the experiment and therefore remained free of external environmental microbial contamination.
