Spatial distribution of pontine neurons projecting to crus IIa of the cerebellar cortex

3D reconstructed point coordinate data representing the spatial location of retrogradely labelled rat pontine neurons projecting to different parts of crus I and crus IIa in the cerebellar hemisphere. The dual tracing data show that pontine neuronal cell bodies projecting to crus IIa are located centrally in the pontine nuclei, in regions receiving corticopontine projections from the S1 upper lip area, while neuronal cell bodies projecting to crus I are located more external parts of the pontine nuclei.
