Poxviruses are well known evaders of the immune host response. Among diverse strategies, they encode soluble IFN binding proteins (IFNBP) to prevent the IFN based host response during infection. The main aim of this project is to compare the infection of mice with different Vaccinia (VACV) or Ectromelia (ECTV) mutant viruses affecting the viral type-I IFN binding protein (IFNIBP). To this effect, we used RNAseq from diverse infected mouse tissues with these viruses to performed differential expression analyses. The genome of these mutant VACV and ECTV were fully sequenced to discardnoon desired mutattions and the corresponding sequencing reads are also included in the present study.
