The EnviroAtlas Estimated Floodplain dataset offers a 100-year flood inundation map for the contiguous United States with 30 m spatial resolution. A random forest statistical model was used to classify floodplains and develop the map using national land cover, soil, and elevation data. The model captured 79% of the 100-year floodplain identified by FEMA. The map is intended to fill gaps in spatial coverage of the FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps.
