De-identified dataset for "Modernising the Negative Mood Regulation Scale: A Contemporary Psychometric Re-audit Yielding a Refined Form with Two Dissociable Expectancy Factors"

De-identified dataset supporting Ireland (submitted, Current Psychology). Contains item-level responses to the 30-item Negative Mood Regulation Scale (NMRS; Catanzaro & Mearns, 1990), composite scores for 14 emotion regulation and affective subscales (DERS, ERQ, CERQ, FFMQ, TEARS, TMMS, ASQ, PANAS, SCS), and four coarse-grained demographic variables (AgeGroup, Gender, MentalIllness, Meditation), plus survey completion time. N = 973 respondents with complete NMRS responses. The analytic sample of N = 951 reported in the paper is reproducible by applying the quality-screening criteria described in the Method section. Direct and indirect identifiers, country of residence, raw age, occupation, ethnicity, and auxiliary demographic and item-level data have been excluded because the original participant consent did not specifically authorise open-access release of those data. Data were collected online in 2015 under ethics approval from the University of Southern Queensland Human Research Ethics Committee. See accompanying README.txt for the full variable dictionary.
