Youth Employment in Urban Sierra Leone Survey Data

‘Labour Market Participation of Young People’ research project is a mixed-methods study that aims to examine labour market experiences of young people in urban centres of Sierra Leone. A structured survey was administered in April 2025 in three urban centres: Freetown, Bo and Makeni to a randomly selected sample of young people aged between 18 and 35 (n = 1,502). The data present a diverse employment landscape and demonstrates attitudes of young people towards their work and the labour market in general.
