Bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC)-end sequencing project at TIGR. Aedes aegypti

The goal of the bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC)-end sequencing project at TIGR is to generate BAC-end sequences from both ends of 50,000 BAC clones to yield 100,000 sequence-tagged connectors (STCs) for A. aegypti. To date, collaborative efforts have produced several libraries that, combined, should yield an approximately 50 Mb scan of the A. aegypti genome.
