SUPPLEMENTARY MATERIALS_NARRATIVE ECOSYSTEM_HUMAN-AI COGNITIVE COEXISTENCE IN LITERATURE

This study investigates how readers experience and evaluate narrative fragments written by modernist authors (Kadare, Borges, Calvino) compared to those generated by large language models. The aim is to understand the nature of the creative process in the context of human–AI interaction, articulating three theoretical concepts: narrative ecosystem, synthetic intelligence, and ethical digital humanism.The methodology combines quantitative and qualitative approaches. Forty participants (20 professors and 20 literature students) evaluated six fragments—three human and three algorithmic—across five dimensions: narrative ambiguity, emotional engagement, perceived authorship, hermeneutic space, and sense of co-creation.
