Macrozoobenthos abundance and biomass from river rapids in Eastern Fennoscandia

This dataset contains sample-level macrozoobenthos abundance (ind./m²) and wet weight biomass (g/m²) from 535 samples collected at 209 rapids sites across Eastern Fennoscandia (Republic of Karelia and Murmansk Oblast, Russia) between 1998 and 2024. Data are provided at the resolution of major taxonomic groups. Total abundance and biomass per sample are also provided, along with adjusted values after outlier removal and winsorization (as used in the associated publication).
