Specifically, drought events are identified when the 12-month Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index (SPEI12) is less than -1.0. Detailed algorithms for calculating drought characteristics and vegetation vulnerability are provided in the cited references. This dataset has been applied in studies such as those on vegetation drought vulnerability in Central Asia, and holds promising application prospects in research fields including spatiotemporal characteristics of drought events, drought-vegetation interaction mechanisms, and drought risk assessment.
