This dataset demonstrates the utility and efficacy of a novel technique, MHD-accelerated clearing and labeling that is used to render tissue effectively transparent for interrogation of fluorescent markers deep within the tissue. Here we present trials on mice, sea slugs, and zebrafish, which demonstrate an ability to clear and subsequently label intact tissue samples without the need for sectioning. We also provide access to quantitative measures which show the speed of clearing when compared to traditional electrophoresis and the added benefits in the form of cooling the tissue to avoid damaging endogenous fluors. We also show data that measures the speed imparted on objects subjected to MHD-acceleration when compared to pure electrophoresis and the speed with which a charged dye can fully permeate a uniform sample. Taken together, this collection of images and measurements demonstrate the limits and abilities of MHD-accelerated clearing and labeling in varied tissue samples under similar conditions.
