资源简介:
The dataset comprises two main components: (1) estuarine salinity data and (2) spatial delineation of salt marsh areas in estuaries of the Bay of All Saints (Bahia, Brazil).
Salinity data were collected during field campaigns conducted in the Jaguaripe, Paraguaçu, and Subaé estuaries between 2004 and 2019. Measurements were made using different instruments, primarily analog refractometers. In some campaigns, HORIBA multiparameter probes were used in combination with HOBO dataloggers. Spatial interpolation of the measurements was performed using the Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW) method in QGIS software. Additionally, salinity data for the Bay of All Saints were extracted from the study by Lessa et al. (2009).
Salt marsh areas were delineated from in situ identification and georeferencing of vegetation patches, whose spectral signatures were used to create vector polygons. This approach allowed for accurate representation of the distribution and extent of salt marshes in the studied estuaries.
