DOM degradation experiments in NW Mediterranean Sea waters

Prokaryotic incubations on DOM collected at NW Mediterranean Sea surface waters in late spring and late summer, and prokaryotes collected at 500m waters. After 50%/50% vol/vol mixes, water was incubated in triplicates during 27 days, with samples for 16s at t0, t7 and t27 DNA was filtered onto 0.2 um filters and stored frozen until extraction, PCR amplification and Hiseq Illumina sequencing.
