资源简介:
Diutina catenulata is an ascomycetous yeast that has been found in a variety of settings, including humans, animals and environmental sources. The species is notable as a natural contaminant of dairy products, and has been linked to superficial and invasive infections in both humans and animals. Previous attempts to place this species on the fungal tree of life have assigned the species to the Saccharomycetales, but have failed to provide further specificity. Here, we report the genome sequence of an environmental isolate of D. catenulata. Examination of the tRNA repertoire of this species indicate that it is a member of the CTG-Ser clade, which translates the CUG codon as serine instead of leucine. Furthermore, a phylogenetic tree was constructed from the concatenated alignment of nine proteins, which confirmed the placement of the species in the CTG-Ser clade.
