Gaze strategies and effectiveness of offensive and defensive actions in shooting situations in elite handball players

The database pertains to research on gender differences in gaze behavior among goalkeepers during penalty defense in handball. The study involved 40 elite handball goalkeepers (20 men and 20 women). Gaze behavior was recorded in real-world conditions using a mobile eye tracker. The analysis was based on the number and duration of fixations within designated areas of interest (AOI). The evaluation considered five penalty shots for each participant, taking into account both successful and unsuccessful saves.
