Finding the light in a crazy world, 1993, Golden Gate Lodge, exterior, 8831 Venice Boulevard. A whimsical collection of figures, including a baseball player in red tennies, a ballerina, a couple wearing boldly clashing patterns with a TV flying overhead, a woman with a dog wearing a suit and a tie, and two girlfriends with beehive hairdos. Golden Gate Lodge is a residential care facility for mentally ill adults. In acrylic, 10 panels by Susan Rosenwasser with assistance of Victor Abeyta and residents. Sponsored by L.A. Cultural Affairs department -- Dunitz, Street gallery, rev. 2nd ed., p. 184, #48 (photo on p. 171). According to the Google maps street view, the mural does not exist anymore (as of November 2011).
