2014年森林地上生物量分布表明,东南亚区纬度较低,终年炎热,常年日照和降水充沛,森林资源丰富,林木生长茂盛,主要以热带雨林、热带季雨林为主。俄罗斯和欧洲区分布着世界上面积最大的亚寒带针叶林,约占全球森林面积的1/5。东南亚森林NPP普遍在400gC/a·m2以上;由于光热条件相对较差,俄罗斯的森林NPP仅为83.67gC/a·m2,但其中部森林地上生物量明显高于其他地区,森林蓄积量巨大。中亚区、西亚区和非洲地区的森林资源匮乏。
The 2014 forest aboveground biomass distribution indicates that the Southeast Asia region, located at low latitudes, features year-round hot climates, abundant annual sunshine and precipitation, rich forest resources and vigorous tree growth, and is dominated by tropical rainforests and tropical monsoon forests. Russia and the European region host the world's largest expanse of boreal coniferous forests, accounting for approximately one-fifth of the global forest area. The NPP of Southeast Asian forests generally exceeds 400 gC·a⁻¹·m⁻²; due to relatively poor light and heat conditions, Russia's forest NPP is only 83.67 gC·a⁻¹·m⁻², yet the forest aboveground biomass in its central region is notably higher than that in other areas, with enormous forest stock volume. The Central Asia, West Asia and African regions are characterized by scarce forest resources.
