AI Trust Behaviour Index (ATBI) Dataset: Google Trends Cross-Cultural Analysis of AI Trust-Seeking vs Privacy-Anxiety Search Behaviour — 5 European Countries 2022–2025
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains Google Trends search volume datacollected via the pytrends API (April 2026) for fiveEuropean countries: Greece, Italy, Spain, Germany, Sweden.Data covers 210 weekly observations per country,January 2022 – December 2025. The corpus supports computation of the AI Trust BehaviourIndex (ATBI) — a novel behavioural metric measuring theproportion of trust-seeking search volume relative tototal AI-related emotional search volume (trust-seeking+ privacy-anxiety): ATBI = Trust-Seeking Volume / (Trust-Seeking + Privacy-Anxiety Volume) TRUST-SEEKING TERMS: AI transparency, trustworthy AI,explainable AI, ethical AI, AI regulation.PRIVACY-ANXIETY TERMS: AI privacy, data privacy AI,AI surveillance, GDPR violation, AI bias. KEY FINDINGS:- Greece ATBI: 0.5123 (balanced — equal trust and anxiety)- Sweden ATBI: 0.4749 (near-balanced, low anxiety)- Germany ATBI: 0.4162 (mild privacy-anxiety dominant)- Spain ATBI: 0.4135 (mild privacy-anxiety dominant)- Italy ATBI: 0.1957 (strongly privacy-anxiety dominant)- Hofstede UA correlation: r=-0.0456, p=0.942 (non-significant)- Finding: ATBI variation is NOT explained by Hofstede UA alone — national AI governance maturity and media framing are proposed as stronger determinants. THEORETICAL SIGNIFICANCE:Italy's anomalously low ATBI (0.1957) vs Greece's near-balanced (0.5123) contradicts simple UA theory predictionsand requires governance-level explanation: Italy's high-profile GDPR enforcement actions (ChatGPT ban, March 2023)appear to have structurally elevated privacy-anxietysearch behaviour independently of cultural UA scores.
