资源简介:
Victoriomyces antarcticus gen. et sp. nov., was collected from soil samples of Victoria Land, Antarctica. In order to determine its taxonomic status and evolutionary relationships, a phylogenetic analysis was performed on DNA sequences from nuclear loci, assessing both ribosomal RNA and protein coding genes. Bayesian inference and Maximum likelihood analyses were used to estimate phylogenetic relationships. The analysis of the sequence data of the ribosomal RNA gene regions and of the benA and RPB2 indicated the presence of a genetically distinct taxon, Victoriomyces antarcticus (Mycobank MB 823713-4; Davolos et al., in press). Phylogeny obtained from the nuclear genes dataset showed that V. antarcticus constitutes one well-supported distinct lineage within the Cephalothecaceae (family incertae sedis in Sordariomycetes). However, the genome sequence of V. antarcticus, which can give insights not only for its potential biotechnological application but also for understanding its safety use, is still lacking. In this study, we report the draft genome sequence of V. antarcticus for safety biotechnological application. We sequenced the genome of V. antarcticus with massively parallel sequencing Illumina technology. The 300 bp library was sequenced using an Illumina MiSeq using a 2 × 300 bp paired-end reads strategy. This study was supported by the INAIL, Research Project on microorganisms with biotechnological potential (PAR 2016-2018).
