Modern potato varieties often exhibit low carotenoid content, limiting their nutritional value and processing performance. This study employed a multi-omics approach (physicochemical analysis, metabolomics, mineral profiling, transcriptomics, and microbiome sequencing) to investigate the molecular basis of high-carotenoid biofortification in two elite hybrid potato lines (H4 and H14) compared with four commercial cultivars.
