Although there is no evidence that Saussure (1872a, 1872b) examined more than one female specimen, he provided different measurements for the pronotal length (*), i.e. 5 mm in 1872a, and 5.8 mm in 1872b. The only other measurement common to both publications is the length of the body (20 mm). The remaining measurements were published in the redescription of 1872b. Despite the different measurements of the pronotum length, we believe Saussure reported measurements taken from the same female holotype; otherwise, he would have reported ranges as he often did in other publications when dealing with multiple specimens. It is possible that the measurement provided (5.8) was amended in 1872b.
