资源简介:
Objectives: The Fear of Positive Evaluation (FPE) has recently garnered attention in the context of Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD). FPE has been linked to various personality traits in both clinical and non-clinical samples. Additionally, studies have explored the link between personality traits and FPE. Accordingly, this study aims to investigate how affective and emotional temperament can predict FPE in patients suffering from SAD. Method: Data collection tools included the Social Phobia Inventory (SPIN), the Fear of Positive Evaluation Scale (FPES), and the Affective and Emotional Composite Temperament Scale (AFECTS). Results: Results revealed that, when controlling for the severity of SAD, FPE was correlated with all components of emotional temperament except Anger. Moreover, some components of emotional temperament, including inhibition, control, and desire, significantly predicted FPE. In terms of affective temperament, FPE was correlated with some components of affective temperament, including Depressive, Anxious, Volatile, and Irritable. Moreover, some components of affective temperament, including anxious, irritable, and disinhibited, significantly predicted FPE. Conclusion: Our results indicate the significant role of emotional and affective temperamental components in predicting fear of positive evaluation in patients suffering from SAD.
