[C4OC] SE3d) Building capacity to close the gap - increasing Indigenous participation in NRM in Mallee Landscapes - NRM Plans

SE3d) This sub project aims to build Indigenous people’s capacity for Natural Resource
Management (NRM) by employing an Indigenous Facilitator to work in partnership with
Indigenous groups to provide education, training, employment and business opportunities.
A five-year staged delivery will:
- Deliver capacity building training packages to increase Indigenous people’s skills and
confidence to take on leadership positions and pursue enterprise development;
- Establish the region’s first NRM Indigenous Engagement and Participation Plan;
- Embed Indigenous Ecological Knowledge (IEK) in contemporary NRM practices.
This sub project will be delivered at a landscape scale, with linkages to all other sub-projects
submitted by the Mallee CMA.
