Microbiome of Arctic hydrothermal plume

This dataset comprises 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequences obtained from hydrothermal plume waters in the Arctic Ocean. Samples were collected during an oceanographic expedition targeting hydrothermally influenced water masses along the Mid-Arctic Ridge. Environmental DNA was extracted from filtered seawater samples, and the V3-V4 hypervariable regions of the 16S rRNA gene were amplified using universal primers. Sequencing was performed using the Illumina NextSeq2000 platform in 2x300 bp mode.
