Microarray gene expression analysis in 1-month-old mice comparing lens epithelial cells, lens superficial cortical cells, and lens deep cortical cells

Microarray analysis comparing the gene expression of three tissues laser-microdissected from 1-month-old lenses in mice. The original study aimed to discover additional genes that belong to a distinct subset caled late fiber genes which are expressed in cells bordering the organelle-free-zone (OFZ) of the lens. Cells were harvested from three layers of the lens by laser-microdissection. RNA was isolated from each layer in order to conduct microarray analysis.
