Level 2 Aerosol Simulated Product.

MAIA_L2_AER_V01p00p00 is a pre-launch, simulated data product and should not be used for scientific research. The MAIA L2 Aerosol product provides parameters that repre-sent processing involves fitting the multi-angular, multi-spectral, and polarimetric data provided by the MAIA instrument to retrieve total Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD), fractional AODs associated with the two size modes (PM2.5 and PM10), spherical, nonspherical, absorbing, and non-absorbing aerosols, and other aerosol parameters on a 1-km grid. The output collections are generated during nominal operations at the NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC).
