WARNING–DEPRECIATED This dataset provides, for 2,613 shallow-water fish species, their thermal affinities inferred from Aquamaps species distribution maps. The dataset is provided in the species_thermal_affinities.csv file. The dataset documentation is provided in the species_thermal_affinities.txt file. This dataset was produced to support Lavender, E., Fox, C. and Burrows, M. (in prep) Modelling the impacts of climate change on the abundance of shallow-water marine fish at a global scale. However, an issue with the Aquamaps files used to derive thermal affinities was discovered and thermal affinities were re-derived using updated files. Therefore, these data should NOT be used. The files have been removed and only the metadata are provided. The thermal affinities used in the published manuscript are available from: Lavender, Fox and Burrows (2021).
