资源简介:
Oceanography from Seagliders SG150 and SG644, both deployed 16 May 2021.
From the cruise report (Daase 2021):
The second Seaglider [SG644], yellow in Figure x, was equipped with a hydrophone as well astemperature, conductivity, CDOM, fluorescence, O2 and turbidity sensors. The temperature, salinity and density collected by the glider are presented in Figure 4.5.2. There is a slightlytransition from denser water, warmer and saltier, in the southern end of the transect to colder33and fresher water in the northern extent of the transect. However, the gradients are verysmall. We also observe a surface layer of warm, fresher water in the surface 20 m thatdeepens northwards, probably due to ice melt. The glider completed 21 dives south beforeencountering an error on its way to the surface on May 18th at 1:00 (UTC). After the errorwas received, the glider did not resume operation. We recovered both Seagliders by skiff assoon as possible after the error to take advantage of the calm waters and to reduce the chanceof collision with ice while the Seaglider were drifting at the surface. The Seagliders wererecovered May 18th, 2021 at 3:00 (UTC).
