De novo coelomocyte transcriptome of Holothuria forskali

This project contains high-quality gene expression data for coelomocytes (immune cells) of the sea cucumber Holothuria forskali. It includes coelomocyte samples from two different body compartments, namely the perivisceral fluid and the hydrovascular fluid, under two stress conditions, namely lipopolysaccharides I injection (immunostimulation) or control injection. Each sample contains different proportions of different cell types, which were established before the RNA-sequencing analysis, making it possible to reveal the specific expression of certain cell types. This dataset is of great interest for the study of sea cucumber physiology and research in comparative immunology.
