Data Files

The ZIP archive contains the data files regarding all the pretests and experiments included in the article entitled “When Feeling Younger Depends on Others: The Effects of Social Cues on Older Consumers,” by Cesare Amatulli, Alessandro M. Peluso, Gianluigi Guido, Carolyn Yoon, accepted for publication in the Journal of Consumer Research. The data are organized in the following folders: - Pilot Study (product liking), which includes the data file used for the pilot study showing that older consumers in general like traditional products more than contemporary products; - S1, which includes the data files used for Study 1 (the main study and the two pretests); - S2, which includes the data file used for Study 2; - S3, which includes the data files used for Study 3 (the main study and the pretest); - S4, which includes the data files used for Study 4 (the main study and the pretest); - S5, which includes the data files used for Study 5 (the main study and the pretest). All data files have a SPSS format (.sav). Details regarding stimulus materials are included in the Web Appendix.
