Data Related to Luminescence Properties and Defects on Different Crystal planes of Pr:YAP

This paper investigates the impact of anisotropy in YAP crystals doped with Pr3+ ions on their optical properties. The crystals were grown using the Czochralski method and subsequently analyzed via X-ray Diffraction (XRD). To achieve this, various methodologies such as absorption spectroscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy, thermoluminescence spectroscopy, Raman scattering, and fluorescence decay measurements were employed. The primary objective of this study is to establish a relationship between the d-f luminescence yield of Pr3+ ions and the concentration of antisite defects across different crystallographic orientations.
