The synthetic hexaploid wheat Triticum kiharae is derived from a cross between the allotetraploid Triticum timopheevii (GGAA) and the diploid Aegilops tauschii (DD) followed by colchicine-induced genome doubling, integrating the G, A, and D subgenomes (GGAADD). This submission provides the first chromosome-scale genome assembly of T. kiharae, generated using PacBio HiFi long-read sequencing and Hi-C scaffolding. The assembled genome spans 13.33 Gb and is anchored to 21 chromosomes, providing a high-quality reference for studying genome architecture, subgenome composition, and chromosomal organization in this synthetic polyploid wheat.
