Changes in soil microbial communities between seasons in the agricultural land of Mississippi delta region

Soil bacterial and fungal communities differ at various levels in farmland and depend on several factors. Seasonal variabilities play a major role in determining the microbial diversity and community structure. However, our understanding is limited in this direction. Based on this, the goal of the study is to understand the seasonal influence on bacterial and fungal community diversity, structure, function, and networks, which are influenced by different tillage and residue retention practices.
