A price survey conducted in Kagoshima City for a can of water-based paint revealed that the average price in December 2016 was 1,728 yen. The price of a can of water-based paint in Kagoshima City is 200 yen higher than the national average. During the period from January 2015 to December 2016 (the past 24 months), the highest price for water-based paint at supermarkets within Kagoshima City was 1,728 yen in January 2015, and conversely, the lowest price was also recorded in January 2015. The price difference between the peak and lowest price periods for water-based paint in the Kagoshima City area, both in January 2015, was 200 yen.
